Regional Ambassadors
At EGFR Positive UK, we are incredibly lucky to have such a lovely sense of community. The Zoom coffee and chats are always a great success, and having seen small groups of members meeting, and the benefits this brought, we decided to extend this idea and introduce Regional Ambassadors.
We are incredibly grateful to our wonderful team of Regional Ambassadors who give up their time to organise and facilitate Regional Meet-Ups. These socials are a fantastic opportunity to meet and connect with like-minded people over a drink or some food and share experiences. Each event includes a £20 subsidy towards food and drink, and both patients, carers and loved ones are all invited to come along.
The feedback we have received from members who have attended these social meetings is incredibly positive. Members have really valued the time to chat to other people who understand, and have felt lifted and inspired by others' stories and experiences.
The meetings have a warm, friendly, relaxed atmosphere of support and togetherness, along with many laughs and giggles too. Up-coming socials are advertised on our members' Facebook page and we really recommend coming along!
As this initiative is still in its infancy, there are some areas of the UK where there might not be a Regional Ambassador. Members are invited to attend any of the socials no matter where you are based - look out for the adverts on our members' Facebook page.
